THE PROVIDENT BANK FOUNDATION AWARDS MAJOR GRANT TO THE JEWISH RENAISSANCE FOUNDATION
Today, the Provident Bank Foundation presented the Jewish Renaissance Foundation a $10,000 grant under its “Major Grant” category to support JRF’s “Building Healthy Communities” initiative. Jane Kurek, the Executive Director of The Provident Bank Foundation (PBF), led the presentation held at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Perth Amboy’s (BGCPA) Bayside Club. The Building Healthy Communities (BHC) initiative works from a “’social determinants of health’ framework to improve the well-being of low-income residents who live within the City of Perth Amboy and the Central Jersey region through integrated investments in healthy living, healthcare, healthy food options, and systems transformation”. The funding will specifically support BGCPA’s Triple Play Program, a key element of the BHC initiative. read more

Community grant supports the 2016 FREDDY© Awards at the State Theatre Center for the Arts
The Provident Bank Foundation awarded a $5,000 Community Grant to the State Theatre Center for the Arts located in Northampton County for their 2016 FREDDY© Awards program. Modeled after the Tony Awards, the FREDDY© Award program is an arts education program that all local high schools are invited to participate in. The mission on the program is to recognize and reward exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of musical theater in local high schools. read more
The Provident Bank Foundation Awards $3,000 Grant to Opportunity Project for Vocational Services Job Club Program
Opportunity Project was selected by The Provident Bank Foundation to receive a $3,000 community grant to fund services and training for brain injury survivors. The funds will support Opportunity Project’s Job Club, a program that helps people with brain injuries set realistic employment goals. read more
The Provident Bank Foundation Provides $3,500 Grant to Keeping Babies Safe of Warren
The Provident Bank Foundation has provided a $3,500 grant to Keeping Babies Safe (KBS), a nonprofit organization that promotes safe sleeping practices for infants and toddlers. The grant money will support “Project Safe Crib,” in which KBS purchases cribs that meet the highest standards, and donates them to low-income families. read more
